BMI and Height

There is no significant relationship between a person’s BMI and his/her height. Since p > 0.05, we do not reject the null hypothesis as there is not enough evidence.

From the table, a Pearson’s correlation coefficient of 0.298 indicates a weak relationship between BMI and height.


BMI and Weight

But there is a significant strong linear relationship between a person's BMI and his/her weight . Since p < 0.05, we reject the null hypothesis as there is enough evidence .

From the table, a Pearson's correlation coefficient of 0.918 indicates a strong relationship between BMI and weight.
